If you are planning on attending Penn State or another American university but would like to improve your English, you’ve come to right place! Since 1976, the IECP has been Penn State’s premier intensive English program, offering courses in academic English to prepare the pre-matriculated student for undergraduate and graduate studies at an American university.  Experienced faculty engage students in a cutting-edge, comprehensive curriculum which includes grammar, oral communication, listening, reading, writing, and test skills in addition to providing opportunities to connect with current Penn State students and classes.

  • Penn State and State College chosen to host international town-gown conference On Jun 18, 2018 Penn State and State College Borough have been selected to co-host the 2019 International Town & Gown Association’s City and University Relations Conference from May 19-22, 2019. The annual conference brings higher education and government officials together for collaborative discussion on strengthening town-gown partnerships and communities.
  • Everyone at University Park asked to conserve energy during high temperatures On Jun 18, 2018 With this afternoon’s (June 18) expected near-record temperatures and relative humidity, the campus chilled water air-conditioning system is expected to be at capacity. This increases the possibility of a cooling curtailment action.
  • Amy Freeman named director of Penn State’s Millennium Scholars Program On Jun 18, 2018 A highly respected leader, educator and innovator in diversity and inclusion programs will join Penn State as the new director of the Millennium Scholars Program. Amy Freeman, a Penn State alumna and former associate provost, chief diversity officer and research assistant professor of engineering at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, will start her new position on Aug. 20.
